Daisy remedies offers herbal consultations with qualified Clinical Herbalists. All our herbalists hold a minimum qualification of BSc (Honours) Clinical Herbalism, are members of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (MNIMH) and carry a minimum of £6,000,000.00 practitioner’s insurance.

Initial consultations (Approx. 10 to 15 minutes) are free and held on the telephone, at a pre-booked appointment time. During this initial chat the herbalist will establish why you are considering herbal supplements, if they are suitable, and if a further full consultation would be useful to further explore any conditions you have, and consider a future treatment plan. There is no requirement to progress further than the free initial consultation, but if this is something you wished to consider, and was something the herbalist determined could be beneficial to your treatment, then a full consultation could be arranged, lasting about 60 to 90 mins, at a cost of £60.00, payable prior to the consultation. Full consultations may be offered on the telephone, using video, or in person, depending on your location, and the nature of your enquiry. If you would like to chat to one of our herbalist’s please fill in our contact us form by clicking HERE, and provide details of you name, telephone number, a brief description of your condition, or the things you would like to discuss, and ideally indicate a couple of times and dates you would be available to have your initial chat. Upon receipt of your enquiry, we will confirm by email the date and time of your appointment, at which time and date we will call you for an initial chat. We appreciate your co-operation in providing the details requested above, and can assure you any information you provide will be secure and kept private. If you are unable, or prefer not, to provide this information, we unfortunately will not be able to call you back. As a business on the internet 24 hours each day, we are constantly receiving large volumes of messages, or calls from individuals or businesses who use are not in need of our services, and invariably only want to sell us something. The requirement of you providing this basic information is our only way of filtering genuine enquiries from time wasting ones, and we thank you for your understanding in this matter.

A qualified Clinical Herbalists has studied to degree level a range of subjects including, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, biochemistry, nutrition, phytochemistry and psychology. An important part of a Clinical Herbalists training is clinical skills. All our herbalists have undertaken a minimum of five-hundred clinical hours with patients and dispensing, before qualification, enabling entry into the largest professional body in the UK for medical herbalists, NIMH. This clinical training includes a herbalist being taught the same basic clinical skills and examination skills as a doctor.

In addition, our herbalists, as part of their extensive training, are taught and use advanced treatment and diagnostic techniques including Physiomedical Tissue States and Autonomic Nervous System dysfunction identification and treatment.

Unlike a mainstream medical consultation with your GP, an initial consultation with a clinical herbalist, would normally last between 60 minutes and 90 minutes. This gives the herbalist time to listen and understand what is happening to you as a person, as well as discussing your outward symptoms. This is known as a holistic approach. A herbalist is taught to consider the whole person and the effects that both emotional and physical challenges have on that person. The consultation will not just try and relieve the symptoms, but explore the reasons behind the symptoms, so the whole body and mind contribution will be considered, enabling the herbalist to support a patient in dealing with the root cause, thereby encouraging the body to return to a state of overall balance, which a herbalist believes is a far more effective, than just a short term fix of the symptom, without dealing with their cause, providing a more balanced and longer term contribution to a patients overall health.
